Issac’s experience as a CCO tells him that a well-executed compliance program is a revenue-generating function.

He brings over 15 years of experience across crypto, payments, FinTech and traditional financial institutions. Prior to joining EZO, Issac served as the Chief Compliance Officer at Stablecorp — a Coinbase, Circle, and 3iQ backed digital asset group — where he oversaw compliance across multiple entities, including a blockchain analytics firm, a payment platform and a crypto asset dealer.

He has direct working experience with securities regulators, AML regulators, and legal experts on challenges facing the digital asset industry, while maintaining a thorough understanding of, and applicable solutions for, bridging DeFi to CeFi to TradFi.

Earlier in his career, he was part of HSBC’s global compliance team during its Deferred Prosecution Agreement (DPA) with the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) — a milestone case in international AML enforcement. Issac also held senior roles at Wells Fargo, Scotiabank and RBC, advising on financial crime risks and regulatory strategy for high-risk clients and complex products.

He holds a Master of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto. He has earned several professional certifications, including CAMS, Chainalysis Reactor and the Partners, Directors & Senior Officers (PDO) certification.
